While young people are using social media to express their creativity and connect with others, many young people’s preoccupation with curating the ideal image to gain and maintain a sense of belonging or approval can drive their insecurity and anxiety. This session will share Cultures of Dignity’s most recent research about the impact of social media on young people’s social lives, self-identity, and how they perceive friendships through their social media platforms.

– How social media interactions between students impact the school community
