Tri-Association Annual Educators’ Conference – Engaging Student Leadership to Build a Culture of Dignity in Your School
Engaging student voice is an increasingly common goal for schools. But what does that really mean? How should school administrators and other adults work with student leaders? How should young people be integrated into school leadership roles in new and inclusive ways? How can bringing young people into more leadership roles contribute to a culture of dignity in schools? Creating and sustaining schools where our students are engaged, feel welcome and included depends on answering these essential questions. Facilitated by Rosalind Wiseman of Cultures of Dignity, our panelists will be Ginger Carlson; Director of Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning for the American School of Guatemala, Chris Howes; Assistant Head of School for Student Life and Culture at Mercersburg Academy and Charlie Kuhn; Co-Founder of Cultures of Dignity.
